This sculpture was created by local artist Matías Astarloa using recycled metal. It shows a dorado, one of the most important fish of the Uruguay River.
It is located on the riverwalk of Monte Caseros, near the old water port. The sculpture is called “The River Guardian” and its goal is to raise awareness about protecting the environment and all river species.
