Colon Plaza is a green space in the center of Monte Caseros. It is a perfect place to walk, rest, and enjoy outdoor cultural events.
Square Colón
Location: Downtown area. Streets Rivadavia, Colón, Bergamini, V. Mendieta. It was the city’s first square.
This is the center of Monte Caseros. Civic celebrations, craft fairs, and festivals take place here.
It is home to the first monument to Christopher Columbus in Argentina. It was built in 1892, 400 years after Columbus arrived in America.
On one of the square’s corners, there is a bust of Dr. Juan Gregorio Pujol, founder of the Monte Caseros department and former governor of the province.
